A pilot study funded by the NHS has shown that if Buteyko were to be used on health
system it could save tax payers £270 million per year! In December 2004
Buteyko Specialists Simon Paddon and Nikki Jewell were approached by NHS doctors
who had heard about the Buteyko Method. Simon and Nikki were commissioned
to teach a group of patients with varying illnesses, such as asthma, COPD,
emphysema, etc.
Results of this pilot study were published June 2006.
This made BBC headline news on TV, radio, bbc.co.uk and respected journals
across the country.
