Health reporters from BBC Southwest are keen to learn why Buteyko is being ignored
by the NHS in the light of pilot study results that show potential financial
savings for tax payers of nearly £270 million pounds per year. |

Reporter Sally Mountjoy meets former severe asthmatic Nicola Fiddimore, who now leads
a very active and exciting life thanks to the Buteyko breathing retraining
course she embarked on several years ago. It appears that some NHS health professionals, such as GP's, consultants, nurses, etc. are kept completely in the dark about Buteyko, despite its proven efficacy and safety. Following Dr Kandam-Pully's comments (quoted above), could this be because of the influence upon medics from the makers of asthma drugs? |
